Indigenous Governance
ADVISORY GROUPS
Community Advisory Group
To ensure that this project remains collaborative, inclusive, and reflective of the community's needs, governing groups will be consulted throughout all phases of the research project. Our Aboriginal Community Advisory Group was developed in 2023 and will be consulted throughout the project to ensure that our outcomes are helpful to the community.
Youth
Advisory Group
WHAT is a
Youth
Advisory
Group?
A youth advisory group (YAG) is a team of Aboriginal young people who work as consultants. The researchers meet with them at least twice yearly to hear their insight and opinions on the study design and implementation.
Why do we have a
YAG?

A key pillar of RAAYS is to elevate and respect the voices of Aboriginal young people. We do not want to speak over the lived experiences of the young people in our community, which is why a YAG is essential to lead the direction of our study and ensure we are running the study in the most appropriate way for the Aboriginal youth context.
Are you interested in joining our YAG?
We need to hear the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people!
Meetings are 2 hours in length, and you will be paid and provided lunch for your time.
Register your information by filling out our contact form, and we will contact you before the next meeting!
Thank you to our members
